Get a Silver Lining Almost Every Time

Ever read Robert J. Ringer"s, "Million Dollar Habits"? It discusses a comparison of "Big Picture / Small Picture".

The Big Picture is wiser. It allows people to prosper in every area of life.

The Little Picture is short-sighted. You aren"t looking after yourself when you look only at the Little Picture.

If you want to better yourself or your situation take this advice: always align your thoughts, feelings and time with (you guessed it) the Big Picture.

Whether we realize it or not, no matter what happens, we can always choose to think Big. We can always keep our sights on the prize. We can always find everything we"ll ever need. How? Realize the differences between thinking Big and thinking Small, and you"re on your way.

The Big Picture is when we see past our emotions. It"s when we act based on the way things are instead of the way we expect them to be. My father always told me, "Son, accept what is." And it took me 20 years to get it.

The Little Picture is when you let your emotions run you. It"s when your emotions get in the way of your goals. You"re fixed on the Little Picture when you can"t be pulled away from the feelings you expect from a certain outcome. When we use logic to justify emotional decisions, we"re focusing on the Little Picture.

Simply put, if you want to better your chances at success, you"ve got to see the Big Picture. You"ve got to be happy with most results, and commit to bettering all results. Gene Simmons of KISS said, "there is no such thing as winning, there is only doing better than you did before. Once you give up, you"re just waiting to die."

All successful people would agree: it"s better to accept the situation, learn and take positive action, than to complain and do nothing.

Make a positive habit today. See the Big Picture always, no matter how tough it may be.

You"ll go where you"re looking. When you"re driving you must keep your eyes on the road, not the obstacles around it.
